Have you ever wanted to take a peak under Google’s bonnet? Well now you can and in splendid Technicolor too! Google have kindly decided to spill the beans on life in a data centre with a photographic tour entitled where the Internet lives.
And boy does it make for compelling viewing. Think Andreas Gursky meets Tron and you’ll get an idea of the anodyne netherworlds that keep the Internet up and running. Without getting too Waldemar Januszczak I’ll just say that the images themselves are starkly hypnotic and the subject matter provides rare insight.
